LEESBURG, FL — After more than two decades of dedication to LifeStream Behavioral Center, Board Chairman Tim Morris is stepping down to begin his new role as Lake County Commissioner. Morris has served on LifeStream’s Board of Directors since 2000, leading the organization with steadfast commitment and distinction for 24 years. In recognition of his contributions, LifeStream has renamed its front conference room the “Tim Morris Conference Room.”

(LifeStream named the conference room after Morris. He has certainly deserved it over his 24 years of service to this great mental health service.)

Morris, who oversaw numerous initiatives and projects benefiting mental health and wellness across the community, expressed gratitude for his time with LifeStream and excitement about the journey ahead.

On becoming the newest Lake County Commissioner, Morris says “I come to this job with a passion for our community and a desire to improve the lives of every resident. So, what does that look like? First and foremost, it means we give our men and women in law enforcement the tools they need to keep us safe. Public safety is the foundation upon which everything else is built.”

(Morris was surrounded by friends and family during the dedication.)

Morris would go on to say “There is so much to do and the work begins in earnest this November, but I want you to know that you will always have a voice so long as I am on the County Commission. Thank you I look forward to serving you!” says Morris.

LifeStream’s tribute serves as a reminder of Morris’s legacy, with the newly dedicated conference room symbolizing the organization’s appreciation for his invaluable contributions. He will be greatly missed in his position but we look forward to the great things he will accomplish as Lake County Commission for District 5.
