Celebrating the Duos Who Help Bring Style Magazine to Life

In life and work, the term “power couple” can take on so many forms.

For me, it’s something I wasn’t sure I’d ever experience until I met my husband, Ryan. He’s my best friend, personal tech guru and my adventure buddy. He’s often seen alongside me at events with a camera in hand, troubleshooting technical issues and helping in any way he can.

We truly complement each other, and that partnership has been key in our successes. Having someone who stands by you, prays with you – no matter the challenges – is invaluable, and I’m so grateful to have Ryan in my corner.

At Style, we are fortunate to have some incredible duos who keep everything running smoothly, starting with Kendra and Doug Akers—the ultimate power couple. As owners of the magazine, they are the backbone of this operation. Each brings their own unique strengths to the table, balancing and complementing each other perfectly. Together, they have built something truly special, making Style the success it is today.

Then there’s Kyle and Shawnee Coppola, another dynamic pair. Kyle’s talent as a sportswriter is only matched by Shawnee’s creativity as a graphic designer. They each shine in their respective fields, and they’ve even managed to raise their youngest daughter in the office during her first year, passing the baby back and forth in between assignments. Now that’s a power couple!

And we can’t forget about Emily and Michael Gaulin. Emily, our office manager, is the glue that holds everything together, managing the day-to-day operations with ease. Meanwhile, Michael, our creative director, is a Photoshop magician who brings every project to life with his visionary talent. Together, they are an unstoppable force behind the scenes, making Style look and feel its best.

Whether at home or in the office, having a partner or friend who understands and enhances your strengths is a gift, and we’re lucky to have so many examples of that right here on our team.
