Red Bird Cottage & Farm

Red Bird Cottage & Farm is a welcoming destination founded in 2022 by Alisha Casamona and her husband Dave.

In 2021, she unexpectedly lost her healthy, active father John to COVID-19, and her world changed overnight. “We were very close, and his passing shook our foundation,” Alisha says of her family, especially her mom Karen, who had been with John since she was 16.

They were soon blessed with the opportunity to purchase acreage on a private lake in Eustis, and right away, beautiful cardinals began to appear one by one, perching in the trees. 

“When cardinals appear, angels are near,” Alisha says. “The cardinals never left, and so Red Bird Cottage & Farm was born.”

With a background in mental health care and a lifelong love of horses, Alisha hopes to combine the two and share the peace and comfort they bring with those who may be struggling with trauma or loss. She says her dad is always an inspiration.

 “My dad, God and the cardinals are working together to bring a healthy spirit to us every day,” she says.
