Local Twin Graduates from Pinecrest Lakes Prep Find Success at Lake Technical College

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — Bella and Quinn Cone, twin graduates of Pinecrest Lakes Preparatory Academy, are gaining attention for their exceptional achievements at Lake Technical College.
The siblings, who earned their high school diplomas from PLP in 2024 while dual-enrolled at Doral College, have pursued career and technical education pathways and are now thriving in their respective fields.
Bella Cone: Top Honors and a Passion for Animal Care
Bella Cone completed her Associate of Arts degree through Doral College while in high school and enrolled in Lake Tech’s Veterinary Assisting program in fall 2024. Balancing her studies with a full-time job as a swim instructor at South Lake Aquatics and Swim America, Cone graduated with a 4.0 GPA.
She was named Student of the Month, inducted into the National Technical Honor Society, and ultimately selected as Lake Tech’s 2025 Student of the Year — an honor awarded to one student out of more than 800.
Cone is currently interning at Chase Sanctuary in Webster, where she works with exotic and rescued animals. She also recently returned to her former middle school, Pinecrest Lakes Academy, to share her journey with students and advocate for animal conservation.
Quinn Cone: Driven Toward Automotive Excellence
Quinn Cone also graduated from PLP in 2024 and joined Lake Tech’s Master Automotive Service Technology program last fall. A lifelong car enthusiast, he is pursuing a career in high-performance automotive engineering.
Like his sister, Cone maintained a full-time job as a swim coach and instructor while studying. He received financial assistance through Lake Tech grants and a scholarship from the Area 3 Foundation, which supports families of Disney Cast Members — a meaningful distinction for Cone, whose parents both worked for Disney.

(Perhaps this young man will be the future mechanic for Mercades, McLaren or Williams F1 Teams among others. We wish him all the best!)
He plans to begin work at a local mechanic shop this summer and hopes to one day work on Formula 1 cars.
Parents Jay and Sarah Cone said they are proud of their children’s accomplishments.
“Bella and Quinn have shown incredible independence, perseverance, and passion in everything they do,” they said in a statement. “We’re deeply grateful to the teachers and staff at Pinecrest Lakes Academy, Pinecrest Lakes Prep, and Lake Technical College who helped shape their success.”
From academic excellence to career preparedness, the Cone twins exemplify how dedication and community support can propel students to extraordinary heights. We are incredibly proud of both of them! Way to go!

After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.
For the last decade Kyle has gained valuable experience in social media content creation, marketing and sales, writing, video production, sports announcing and even broadcasting for local radio stations, such as FM 102.9 in The Villages and FM 91.5 in Massachusetts. Every year he volunteers at The Villages Charter High School as a play-by-play sports announcer for the football games as well as a public address announcer for the basketball games, including the annual Battle at The Villages Tournament.
Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
