Mission Resort + Club Launches the Howey Artisan Market: A New Hub for Local Flavor, Creativity, and Community

In the heart of Central Florida’s rolling hills, a new tradition is about to take root—one that blends the charm of a small-town gathering with the vibrant creativity of the region’s artisans and farmers. Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills has announced the debut of the Howey Artisan Market, a monthly open-air event designed to celebrate local talent, support small businesses, and create a community gathering place for residents and visitors alike.
The market’s first installment will take place Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., kicking off a series that will be held on the last Saturday of every month.

A Market Born from Opportunity in Support of the Local
Mission Resort + Club is known for its historic charm, world-class amenities, and welcoming atmosphere. Recently, the resort’s leadership recognized a unique opportunity: create a space where local farmers and purveyors could sell directly to customers, artisans could share their craft, and neighbors could gather in a beautiful setting.
“We wanted to offer a platform for small businesses while giving both locals and resort guests a reason to come together,” says Cindy Staley, General Manager of Mission Resort + Club. “The Howey Artisan Market is about more than shopping—it’s about fostering a community. When you shop here, you’re supporting a local family and investing in our community. It’s about keeping local traditions alive.”
Partnering with Local Experts
To bring the market to life, Mission Resort + Club partnered with Orange Blossom Market Co. (OBMco), an established market coordinator known for curating high-quality vendor experiences across Central Florida.
“This partnership with Mission Resort + Club brings our vision for vibrant, community-driven events to life,” says Sheena Willis, Owner of OBMco. “We’re curating a diverse mix of makers and creatives to deliver something special and truly local each month.”
Vendor applications for future markets are open at orangeblossommarketco.com/mission-resort-club.
