Florida Trooper, Witness Rescue Crash Victim From Burning Vehicle in Sumter County

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper and a bystander pulled an injured man from a burning vehicle following a secondary crash this weekend in Sumter County, according to a social media post by the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers had been responding to an initial collision when a second crash occurred nearby. Both vehicles involved in the second crash caught fire, and one injured occupant was trapped inside.
The trooper, assisted by a civilian at the scene, managed to reach the man and pull him through the rear window of the damaged vehicle moments before it became fully engulfed in flames, says Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles in a facebook post.
The cause of the crashes remains under investigation.
