Despite the recent record rainfall and flooding that impacted parts of Mount Dora, one of the city’s most popular annual events, the Mount Dora Plant & Garden Fair, is still a go for this weekend.

Event organizers confirmed that Donnelly Park, where the fair is held, was not affected by the storm and remains in great condition for vendors and visitors.

The fair will take place Saturday, November 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, November 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to attend and will feature vendors and nurseries from all over Florida offering a wide variety of native and exotic plants, garden décor and handcrafted items.

In addition to the plant and garden vendors, the Mount Dora Center for the Arts will host a live Plein Air painting competition and artwork sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., where local artists will capture the vibrant beauty of the fair in real time.

Organizers are encouraging residents and visitors to come out and support the local vendors and downtown businesses that help make the community thrive.

The Mount Dora Plant & Garden Fair has long been one of the city’s signature fall events, drawing gardeners, artists, and nature lovers from across Central Florida to enjoy a weekend filled with color, creativity and community.
