It’s a cool Tuesday evening and Travis Long is right where he wants to be.

Enthusiastic children’s voices and the crack of bats on baseballs create the perfect background noise as Travis coaches the 12-and-under Lady Lake baseball team.

“I grew up in Lady Lake. Now I’m coaching and watching my own kids play on the same field where I played 16 years ago,” he says.

With five active children aged 5 to 12, youth sports are a main focus for Travis and his wife Kaleigh. All four of Travis’ sons play baseball and his stepdaughter is on a travel volleyball team. Between coaching duties and attending practices, you can find the Long family at their kids’ sporting activities at least four nights a week.

“We go anywhere in the lower 48 states with people either moving to Florida or leaving the state. Our moving jobs are about 50-50 split between people moving here or moving out. We recently went as far as Wyoming to move a couple back to The Villages,” Travis says. “Most people are moving to The Villages, but we move people everywhere in Florida.”

“We can load someone’s household in The Villages on a Monday and have their belongings at their new place in California on a Saturday. We can load in Florida on a Monday and be in New York by Thursday,” says Travis.

“When I started the company, I determined that I would not mix multiple household belongings together in a single move. When we move someone’s household, their belongings are never mixed in with another customer’s belongings. Also, our pricing is guaranteed, so if we tell a customer the price, it’s that price out the door,” says Travis. 

“We get paid when the job is done, when everything is out of the truck and put into the house. We’ve done it this way ever since we started our business and we handle thousands of customers every year,” he says.
