UP AND AT ’EM! 

 The Cool Sommer Mornings series wrapped up its 40th anniversary season with a lively tiki party-themed race at Clermont Waterfront Park. The long-running series founded by race director Fred Sommer has become a Central Florida tradition that blends endurance, fun and community across four summer events. The final race featured a 5K run/walk, sprint and international distance triathlons, a sprint duathlon, an aqua bike and a relay. Athletes from across the region competed along Lake Minneola’s shoreline, surrounded by music, cheering spectators and tropical décor. The tiki theme brought a festive finish to a milestone season that honored four decades of Fred Sommer’s dedication to creating events that inspire fitness, friendship and the true spirit of competition.
