Recovery Centers of America to Open First Florida Treatment Center in Mount Dora

Recovery Centers of America (RCA), a nationally recognized provider of addiction and mental health treatment, is expanding into Florida with the opening of a new facility in Mount Dora. The center is scheduled to begin welcoming patients in early January 2026, marking RCA’s first treatment location in the state and its second in the Southeast.

The Mount Dora campus will offer medically supervised detoxification and 24/7 residential treatment, with outpatient services expected to launch later in 2026. The facility will bring RCA’s evidence-based, trauma-informed model of care to Central Florida at a time when demand for behavioral health services continues to grow.

“Patients and families will feel safe, respected, and supported through every stage of recovery at Recovery Centers of America at Mount Dora. They can rely on the highest standards of trauma-informed care,” says Brett Cohen, President and Chief Executive Officer at Recovery Centers of America. “We are proud to bring accessible, high-quality treatment to the Mount Dora community, care they can rely on immediately, and feel supported by long after they leave our doors.”
RCA at Mount Dora will join RCA at Greenville as the organization’s second Southeastern location. Clinical teams at the new center will provide individualized treatment plans for patients new to recovery, those returning after relapse, individuals with co-occurring mental health conditions, and those seeking care for primary mental health needs without an active substance use disorder.

The 19-acre campus will feature seven buildings, a pond, outdoor recreation space with a pool, a full basketball court, and a rock-climbing wall. The 63,000-square-foot facility will include 124 beds.
Patients will have access to RCA’s full continuum of care, including family programming, virtual and in-person family support groups, educational webinars, and coaching for loved ones navigating the recovery process. After completing treatment, patients will be invited to participate in RCA’s alumni program, which provides ongoing support, community events, accountability, and long-term connection.

The facility is located at 19650 U.S. Highway 441 in Mount Dora and represents a significant investment in expanding access to addiction and mental health treatment in Florida. While the center is set to open to patients in January 2026, assessments and admissions are currently available 24/7.
