Villages Charter Battle-Tested Trench Man is Ready to Tackle College Ball

Continuing the tradition: Football runs in my family. My grandpa and dad both played at the collegiate level and my older brother played in high school. With my size and build, football was the natural fit.
Greatest sports achievements: Playing on varsity as a freshman was huge for me and being named a senior captain meant a lot as well. I overcame a knee injury my junior year and fought to get back. However, getting selected to play in the FACA All-Star Game is definitely one of my proudest moments.
My go-to restaurant: Chipotle, no question. I go with a double chicken bowl.
Team means: We hold each other accountable every day. You’re only as strong as your weakest link, so everyone has to be locked in.
Future goals: I want to become a starter at Valdosta University and I plan to earn a degree in engineering. Beyond that, I want to get married and have a family.
Pre-game ritual: I take a nap in the weight room before home games, listen to hard rock music to get in the zone and I always wear the same lucky underwear (they’re washed of course).
For fun: I like to fish, airboat and play sports outside with my brothers. I also enjoy weightlifting and serving in my church youth group.
Topping my playlist: Country music—especially Merle Haggard and George Strait.
Biggest inspiration: My older brother, Brady. He’s a great role model with high morals and standards, and someone I really look up to. He helps me remember what’s truly important in life and keeps me focused on being a kind, service-oriented person.
My message: If you put your mind to something and work hard with dedication, you can accomplish anything. If it were easy, everyone would do it.
Hidden talent: I can do a split, which usually surprises people.
