Dave Casamona has built a career in technology, but his work at Red Bird Cottage and Farm brings him back to something more hands-on.

As co-owner, he balances two tech consulting companies, EyeOn Technology and IOVideo Solutions, with the day-to-day demands of farm life, where the work is constant and the schedule is anything but typical. From caring for animals to building and maintaining structures across the property, he handles most of it himself.

That shift has allowed him to reconnect with the kind of work he grew up doing, trading screen time for time outside while still staying active in the tech world.

The farm also includes short-term rental properties, adding another layer of responsibility that keeps him moving between projects. For Dave, the variety is part of the appeal. No two days look the same, and that is exactly how he likes it.

Spending time around the animals, especially the horses, has become one of the most rewarding parts of it all. 

“When I’m working outside, just to have the horses there is therapeutic but sometimes I’ll just sit there and watch them off in the distance with the lake behind them,” Dave says. “It’s kind of like a fantasy, but it’s my reality and I feel fortunate to be able to have that.”
