Marjorie Linder at 100: Faith, Family and Keeping Her Sparkle

My best advice: Jesus first, others second, yourself last.
The secret to life: You have to look for the good things in life. Always look for something wonderful and don’t ever lose your sparkle.
What amazes me most: I guess that I’ve lived this long.
My favorite meal: Breakfast. I have bacon and fruit. And coffee, of course.
A childhood memory I cherish: I had such wonderful parents. I want to be like them because my mother was a very sweet, gentle person, and my father was very strict, but very loving, and he taught me things even when I didn’t know I was learning.
If I could have one superpower: It would be to help to spread Jesus’ love in the world.
Something younger generations worry about too much: They worry too much about themselves. Think of other people first or learn from others. Don’t fill your mind with things that are not worthy.
What always makes me laugh: Our little kids are so cute when they’re young. And they have such a good time. They get a gift for Christmas and a lot of times they like the cardboard box that it came in better than the gift itself.
A song that takes me back: “Save the Last Dance for Me.”
The best thing about turning 100: That I turned 100. I can’t believe how quickly I got here. Even though there’s not much time left, I still have time to tell others about Jesus.
