Leesburg High Linebacker Brennan Henderson Aims for 100 Tackles
Brennan Henderson
Finding my position: I played D-line as a freshman, outside linebacker as a junior and now I’m playing middle linebacker. I like linebacker the best.
Heading into senior year: I want to influence the young guys to keep going and leave a good role model for them.
Biggest influence: Coach Q. He’s my coach on defense.
How I’ve grown: I’ve changed from my leadership skills to my playing and the way I handle myself.
My goal: I want 100 tackles this season. Last season, I had 50.
Toughest challenge: Going through changes with the coaches and players, learning how to adapt and just learning from it and growing.
What I’ll remember most: The bond and relationship I have with the players and the coaches.
Player I look up to: Ray Lewis because of his mentality when he steps on the field and the way he carries himself around his teammates.
After graduation: Hopefully, I’ll play college football. I’m interested in LSU or West Florida.
Game I always look forward to: Leesburg vs. Eustis.
Legacy I want to leave: I hope I leave my footprint here (at Leesburg High). I gave it all. I just left it all on the field, and I hope I’ll be remembered.
