LongHorn Steakhouse in Mount Dora Announces Opening Date
Get ready for a sizzling culinary experience, because LongHorn Steakhouse in Mount Dora is bringing its legendary flavors to town. The highly-anticipated restaurant, located off US Hwy 441 in front of the Walmart Supercenter and Epic Movie Theaters, is all set to open its doors on February 12.
LongHorn Steakhouse is renowned for its commitment to crafting the perfect steak. The restaurant offers a diverse menu, featuring expertly grilled steaks, mouthwatering ribs, fresh seafood, and an array of delicious appetizers and sides. With a dedication to quality and a passion for flavor, LongHorn Steakhouse has earned a well-deserved reputation for serving up culinary excellence.
LongHorn Steakhouse was founded by George McKerrow Jr. in 1981. The first location was opened in Atlanta, Georgia. George, a former restaurant manager, envisioned a restaurant that would offer a casual, friendly atmosphere with a focus on serving high-quality steaks. It steadily grew in popularity throughout the 1980s and 1990s, primarily in the southeastern United States. Its success was attributed to its commitment to grilling steaks over an open flame and providing generous portions at reasonable prices.
In 2007, LongHorn Steakhouse was acquired by Darden Restaurants, Inc., a prominent restaurant company that also owns Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and other well-known brands. This acquisition allowed LongHorn Steakhouse to continue its expansion and benefit from the resources and support of a larger corporation.
LongHorn Steakhouse has continuously evolved its menu to include a variety of steaks, grilled dishes, seafood options, and appetizers. They are particularly known for their LongHorn Chili, Wild West Shrimp, and of course, their expertly grilled steaks.
Look out for their grand opening happening soon!
