A Leesburg Staple: Lilly’s Super Subs Still Going Strong

Located in Leesburg, one local sandwich shop is serving more than just hearty subs, it’s dishing up fantastic flavors and a personal touch that has kept customers coming back for decades.

Lilly’s Super Subs, located at 32339 County Road, is a longtime staple in Leesburg. The sub shop was originally opened in 1989 by Keith and Kim Rollman. The family-owned business quickly built a reputation on its hot and cold subs, with its Original Philly Cheese Steak becoming a local favorite.

In January 2017, Dave and Olga Zambito, originally from Rochester, New York, purchased the business and brought with them a wealth of experience and a passion for food service. The couple previously owned and operated two successful bars and restaurants in their hometown, where they were known for their Buffalo-style chicken wings, signature “Garbage Plates,” Friday fish fries, and full-scale catering.

Since taking over Lilly’s, the Zambitos have added their own flavor to the Leesburg classic. Popular additions to the menu include Buffalo wings, deep-fried jumbo shrimp, and other nods to their Upstate New York roots.

The Zambito’s saw great value in Lilly’s from the start. It’s a place where people come not just to eat, but to connect. That’s something the Zambito’s wanted to continue.

True to their hands-on style, Dave and Olga can often be found chatting with customers and checking in on regulars. That sense of personal connection has helped the business grow a loyal following not only in Leesburg, but throughout surrounding Lake County communities.

Lilly’s also offers platters and catering for office gatherings and local sporting events.

While the Lilly’s Philly Cheesteak is delicious, the Meatball Parmesan is equally as good of a sub. If you are more a traditionalist the Roast Beef Italiano or the Grilld Ham or Turkey is just as good and very fresh. A variety of salads, appitizers, wings and burgers are on the menu as well.
