Aaliyah Days Dominates 110-Pound Class, Sweeps District Titles for East Ridge High
CLERMONT, Fla. — East Ridge High School junior Aaliyah Days delivered a dominant performance in the 110-pound weight class, securing first place in both Olympic and Traditional weightlifting. Days, a three-year varsity lifter, edged out Lake Buena Vista’s Aime Albarran in both disciplines.
Since stepping onto the varsity stage as a freshman, Days has consistently proven to be a force in the weight room. She has qualified for regionals in each of her three seasons and has earned multiple district championships in both Olympic and Traditional formats. Her latest triumph is yet another milestone in a career marked by strength, perseverance, and steady improvement.
Days has been working hard for this moment. Each year, she has learned more about how to push herself and she is always striving to get stronger.
Days’ success is a testament to her dedication both in and out of competition. Balancing a rigorous training schedule with her responsibilities as a student-athlete, she has maintained Honor Roll status while also participating in East Ridge’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) program.
Her athletic abilities extend far beyond weightlifting. A true multi-sport competitor, Days has also played volleyball, softball, flag football, and track & field throughout her high school career. While she has excelled in multiple sports, weightlifting has become one of her primary sports, and she continues to set new goals for herself as she eyes regional and state competitions.
