Take Stock in Children of Lake and Sumter Counties’ annual Corporate Spelling Bee was held Sept. 15 at the Venetian Center in Leesburg. The organization’s signature event included a silent auction, drinks, and dinner before a spelling competition between representatives of local businesses, schools, and other groups. Bee proceeds will benefit financially at-risk local youth interested in continuing their education after high school.
