Homeowners know the pitfalls of buying or selling a home. 

Fortunately, Lake and Sumter counties are loaded with hardworking Realtors who can help first-time buyers or longtime owners navigate around those pitfalls. 

The landscape of this area is constantly changing, and as the counties continue to grow, more homes are being built and more families and members of the workforce are moving in. Realtors are busier than ever. They’re more prosperous, too. 

In this issue, we’re presenting the Realtor of the Year, Connie Mahan, as chosen by the Realtors Association of Lake and Sumter Counties. This isn’t the first time Connie has graced the cover of our magazine. You might recall that Connie won Lake and Sumter Style’s annual Business Woman of the Year in 2019. It’s ironic that Connie became a Realtor almost by accident, yet has achieved unprecedented success in the field. Congratulations to Connie for adding another award to her already-full trophy case. 

We are also featuring profiles of other top Realtors, as well as those million-dollar and multimillion-dollar sellers who are movers and shakers in the area. These Realtors are successful because they make sure buyers and sellers are happy. In short, they help both parties find the perfect match for their needs and take pride in making dreams come true. 

Now, and speaking of dreams come true, I want to share some exciting personal news. I am going to be a grandmother again! In January, my daughter, Shaena, along with her husband, announced that she is pregnant with their first child! I was filled with joy when I heard this. I adore babies—those cute smiles, those tiny little fingers, those pure hearts. To think I have another one coming into my life overwhelms me with happiness. And guess what? It’s a boy! If you’re a Facebook friend of mine, you can rest assured I will be posting plenty of pictures leading up to and after my new little grandson’s birth!
