Reed’s Groves Brings Fresh Produce to the Eustis Fresh Market

Reed’s Groves is bringing their fresh produce to Eustis’ Fresh Market at Ferran on Wednesday, September 10, as the newest vendor in the line up.
For Brionna and James (Jimmy) Baker, running Reed’s Groves is more than a business. It’s a continuation of a family tradition that began in the 1960s.
Brionna’s great-grandfather first established the farm, and she grew up surrounded by the work that came with it.
“I officially took it over in 2023, but really, I was raised in it my whole life,” Brionna says. “Even when I tried other things, I always found my way back, so getting the chance to purchase it from my grandparents was really special.”
Together, Brionna and Jimmy are working to preserve the reputation Reed’s Groves has built over decades while adapting it to the needs of today’s customers. Their approach centers on quality, freshness, and flavor, even if that means sourcing beyond Florida’s borders.
“Our focus is always on freshness, quality, and flavor,” Brionna says. “That doesn’t always mean the produce is local to Florida, it means we source from where things are truly at their peak.”
That philosophy is reflected in the variety they bring in each season. Right now, it includes peaches from Idaho, beefsteak tomatoes from Tennessee, plums, apples, pears, Vidalia onions, sweet potatoes, squash, zucchini, and candy corn. “I’m also especially excited about our fresh peppers,” Brionna says. “They’re the perfect size for stuffing.”
It’s a balancing act of honoring the legacy left by earlier generations while building a future that sustains their family and meets modern demand.
“At the end of the day, our goal is to offer whatever’s fresh, will last, and most importantly, tastes amazing,” Brionna says.
The Bakers will bring that vision to the Eustis Fresh Market as one of its newest vendors on Wednesday, September 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ferran Park. The market will continue every second and fourth Wednesday of the month, and then in October, it will transition to every Wednesday.
There will also be free yoga in the park starting at 6:30 pm and a musical performance by saxophonist Alex Ulate.
