Buc-ee’s Inches Closer to Lake County with Confirmed Location in Ocala

Central Florida is getting another taste of Buc-ee’s, and this time, it’s getting closer than ever to Lake County. With a location already thriving in Daytona, the popular Texas-based travel center is now officially building its next Florida mega-stop in Ocala, sparking questions from locals: Could Lake County be next?

The new Buc-ee’s, which will be located just east of Interstate 75 near Highway 326, will mark the chain’s first location in Marion County. Governor Ron DeSantis joined local officials for a groundbreaking of the new highway where the Buc-ee’s will sit when completed. The 80,000-square-foot facility will sit on nearly 33 acres of the Baldwin Angus Ranch.

The travel center will feature 120 gas pumps, over 750 general parking spaces, and a towering 125-foot sign that will be visible from the interstate. It will also include electric vehicle charging stations, RV and bus parking, and diesel service areas. But beyond the infrastructure, Buc-ee’s is best known for its massive selection of snacks, Texas-style brisket sandwiches, fresh fudge, jerky, sugared nuts, and the cult-favorite Beaver Nuggets — a caramel popcorn snack that fans across the country rave about. Shoppers can also expect to find aisles of Buc-ee’s-branded t-shirts, hats, mugs, and home goods, along with the cleanest restrooms on the road.

The Ocala location is expected to open sometime in 2025, though an official date has not yet been announced. The grand opening is projected to coincide with the completion of the new I-75 interchange at 49th Street, which is being constructed to support traffic to the area.

For now, local fans of Buc-ee’s will have to plan a short drive to Ocala in 2025 to stock up on brisket and Beaver Nuggets, but excitement is already building.

Stay tuned for more updates.

A Buc-ee’s should be built on hwy 281 south Texas towards the Rio grand valley and corpus cristi south of Texas there’s alot off travelers going and coming towards that area and no big stores to look forward too. It will be a Guarantee you will make business coming from south Texas and going from north Texas.
