Business Women of Style 2024 – Vedder Holsters
Brooke Vedder and Team
Vedder Holsters
In 2012, Vedder Holsters was born out of a simple desire for a better holster. Brooke, with husband Mike Vedder, driven by dissatisfaction with available options, started crafting holsters in their garage. Brooke Vedder recalls, “Mike made holsters for us and then, friends wanted them too.”
What began as a side gig quickly blossomed into a full-fledged business, specializing in concealed carry holsters all made to order in their Mount Dora facility. The Vedders’ commitment to quality, innovation and customer service propelled the company forward.
From humble beginnings, Vedder Holsters now employs over 60 people, with a focus on customizability and craftsmanship.
“We have always made treating our customers well and creating products that people really needed a top priority. It’s been a journey from no experience to where we are now.,” Brooke says. “Our success story is about learning and growth.”
In addition to their core offerings, Vedder Holsters launched the Women of Vedder campaign, catering to the growing demographic of female firearm owners.
“Women make up almost half of firearms owners now,” says Mikayla Blair, a content writer for the company. “We’re providing resources and community for them.”
