Founder of Red Bird Cottage and Farm

Certified Counselor and Trauma Professional

At Red Bird Cottage and Farm, Alisha Casamona is rethinking what healing can look and feel like.

Set on a quiet stretch overlooking Lake Seneca, her mental wellness practice blends licensed counseling with something far less traditional: horses, fresh air and a deeply immersive environment designed to calm the body before the real work begins. Clients move through personalized sessions that can include any combination of hands-on horsemanship, clinical therapy and trauma-informed yoga, often reaching breakthroughs that had long felt out of reach.

A nationally certified counselor and trauma professional, Alisha has expanded her services to include full mental health care and specialized support for grief, PTSD and anxiety. Animals remain at the center, not as a novelty, but as a powerful tool for connection and regulation.

The setting itself does part of the work. Sand underfoot, horses grazing nearby and the sounds of nature replacing the noise of everyday life create space for people to exhale.

It’s a place where healing doesn’t always start with words, but where, more often than not, they finally come.

“I’d say it’s a back door to the brain,” Alisha says.
