Business Women of Style 2026 – Amy Ester

Amy Ester enlisted in the United States Army straight out of high school and stepped into a path that would shape her life in lasting ways. Her yearlong deployment to Iraq Operation Iraqi Freedom, FOB Diamondback, Mosul Iraq with the 67th CSH from January 2004-2005 required courage, resilience and a steady spirit that she now recognizes as God’s “preparation.”
Later, at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, she cared for wounded warriors, witnessing healing up close and learning from clinicians whose compassion left a lasting impression. Those experiences didn’t just influence her, they transformed her. They shaped a woman who leads with conviction, listens with empathy and remains grounded in her faith. Amy often reflects on how her time in the military strengthened her purpose and prepared her for the work she does today.
Now a Nurse Practitioner and founder of Anchored in Health, Amy brings that same sense of mission to every patient she serves. Her practice blends compassion with clinical care, creating a space focused on both healing and connection. She continues to support veterans through medical documentation, advocacy and ongoing care, honoring the community that shaped her early years.
From soldier to provider, Amy’s journey reflects a deep commitment to service, faith and helping others heal.
