Mica Gilles has dedicated over a decade to the senior living industry, serving as Executive Director of Sumter Senior Living in The Villages. Since moving to Florida from New Jersey three and a half years ago, she has led the community to thrive with a 97% or higher occupancy rate and a team of 150 employees. “We serve over 330 residents, from independent living to memory care. I love seeing transformation, whether in people or in places,” Mica says.

Alongside her husband Nevito, Mica co-owns Gilles Deluxe Properties, where they buy, renovate and design homes for sale, long-term rental and Airbnb. “I love taking a home from unsellable to beautiful. It’s so rewarding,” she says. Balancing career, business and family, Mica believes success doesn’t mean sacrifice. 

Through both ventures, she continues to serve her community, creating spaces where people feel at home.
