Clermont’s Brylan Adams Wins Gold In Paris with Phd Hoops USA.
Clermont’s own Brylan Adams recently had the chance of a lifetime, competing in the Paris World Games Championship with PhD Hoops USA’s U-15 team and winning the coveted gold medal.
Standing at 5’9″ and playing as a shooting guard, Brylan Adams is an emerging basketball star with a 3.4 GPA and a remarkable attitude on and off the court. Representing the United States with pride, Brylan and his teammates demonstrated their skills and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
PhD Hoops USA faced tough competition, playing against teams from France, Great Britain, Germany, and Belgium. The team excelled, placing first in Group 1 and going undefeated in the playoffs. PhD Hoops USA not only won the championship but also had the highest points per game among all teams, averaging 58.67, and the highest total points scored, with 352 points throughout the tournament.
This incredible achievement is a testament to the team’s hard work and dedication, as well as Brylan Adams’ exceptional talent. Living in Clermont, Brylan has played for a few local programs and is recognized as one of the rising stars in Lake County. His offensive and defensive prowess on the court make him a standout athlete.
Brylan’s journey in basketball began at the age of six, showcasing his quick learning and adaptability. Alongside fellow East Ridge basketball player Jordan Corman, Brylan demonstrated his commitment by spending months saving up for the trip to Paris, even selling pork rinds on the side of the road to fund their journey.
The hard work and dedication Brylan put into this endeavor are truly inspiring. His achievements in Paris are a testament to his perseverance and talent. Congratulations to Brylan Adams and PhD Hoops USA on their outstanding victory! We look forward to watching him develop the next few years, he has a great future ahead of him.

Kyle Coppola was born in Newton, Massachusetts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from Curry College in 2016. After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.
For the last decade Kyle has gained valuable experience in social media content creation, marketing and sales, writing, video production, sports announcing and even broadcasting for local radio stations, such as FM 102.9 in The Villages and FM 91.5 in Massachusetts. Every year he volunteers at The Villages Charter High School as a play-by-play sports announcer for the football games as well as a public address announcer for the basketball games, including the annual Battle at The Villages Tournament.
Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
