Clinton Hart Named Head Coach of Trinity Catholic High School Football Team
OCALA, Fla. — Trinity Catholic High School has announced Clinton Hart as its new head football coach, ushering in a new era for the Celtics’ program. A South Sumter High School graduate and former NFL safety most notably with the San Diego Chargers and other teams, Hart brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the role.
Known for his incredible defensive play including 10 career interceptions in the NFL, and post-playing success as a coach, Hart’s reputation for excellence and commitment to mentorship aligns with Trinity Catholic’s values and mission. Athletic Director Mike Young expressed confidence in the hire, stating, “I am excited for our players, coaches, and our student body to have Clint Hart as our new head football coach. He just gets it. He understands the opportunity coaches have to guide and mentor young people. He is genuine, organized, passionate, and disciplined, and he will lead our program with integrity, faith, and purpose.”
Hart, who transitioned to coaching after his NFL career, is eager to embrace this new opportunity. “I want to thank Trinity Catholic’s President and administration for this amazing opportunity to lead the football program,” Hart said. “I look forward to developing student-athletes to meet their potential. May God bless this school, community, and athletic program.”
Acknowledging his deep ties to South Sumter High, Hart emphasized his focus on the broader mission of developing young athletes. “I wanna thank God for this chance to reach young men. It took a lot because I always and forever will be a Raider. But I prayed about it and realized it’s not about just red and black, green and gold, or any other colors. It’s about our youth, and they need development and discipline. I am not afraid to discipline your child. I wanna win off the field, at home, in classrooms, and then on the field, bringing the culture I grew up with to the front and center.”
Hart inherits a program with a history of success and high expectations. We are very excited for Clinton Hart and wish him the best of success with Trinity Catholic.
