Dr. Fernando Serra – Central Florida Plastic Surgery

Dr. Fernando Serra is in his 26th year of practice as a plastic surgeon. He includes his 12-year marriage to Teri Serra, RN and the time he spends enjoying hobbies outside of work as markers of his success.

Dr. Serra’s medical career was inspired by his father, a general surgeon in Leesburg. Dr. Serra’s decision to specialize in plastic surgery came from his passion for sewing, precision and artistry. “My patients benefit from a meticulous attention to detail that I enjoy.”

Enjoying his time outside of work, Dr. Serra has been a long-time student of renowned martial artist Ricky Adams, 9th Dan with the Traditional Karate Association. Along with a great way to exercise, he says that martial arts has helped him to integrate mind, body and spirit. 

Music is another one of Dr. Serra’s favorite hobbies. Dr Serra, his wife, and Lou Barry, a popular entertainer in The Villages music scene, recently performed for Sheriff Bill Farmer’s 50th wedding anniversary here in Sumter County.

Dr. Serra enjoys camping at local bluegrass festivals with his wife.
