Dr. James H. Rogers – Ocala Plastic Surgery & Dermatology

“Success is being able to take care of a lot of people and improve their quality of life,” Dr. Rogers says. That’s exactly what he’s been doing at Ocala Plastic Surgery & Dermatology for the last 33 years.

One of the most experienced plastic surgeons in Central Florida, Dr. Rogers chose his specialty because of the versatility of the skills required. Plastic surgeons work all around the body and in some cases need to find creative solutions.

Practicing in Ocala for so long allows Dr. Rogers to see the long-term effects of his work. He reconstructed the nose on a 13-year-old girl after a terrible accident, and now she is an adult with her own children still living in the community. Every year she praises him on social media for changing her life with that operation.

Dr. Rogers who has one adult son and four girls ages four, six, 14 and 16, says, “Ocala is a wonderful place to build a practice and raise children.” He considers the personal aspect of his success as “dealing with that every day, having fun and still making it to work.” 

Dr. Rogers retains some French, and his love of cooking, from living in France as a child where his mother was a Cordon Bleu chef.
