The Lake County community is mourning the loss of Aaron Belair, owner of El Marie Pizzeria and part-owner of That Place in Eustis, who died Thursday in a motorcycle accident.

Aaron’s passing has left a deep void in the community where he was known not only as a business owner but also as a generous supporter of local events.

In a message shared Thursday evening, El Marie Pizzeria staff called Aaron “more than just the heart” of the restaurant.

(Aaron “right” is remembered for his generosity and kindness.)

“He was a friend, a community supporter, and a familiar smile to so many in Eustis,” the statement read.

The restaurant closed Thursday following the accident but announced it would reopen Friday to honor his dedication and commitment to the community.

Friends and customers remembered him as someone who gave back without hesitation and made his restaurants a welcoming place for all. His impact was felt far beyond the walls of his businesses, as he played an active role in bringing people together and supporting our community.

“Rest in Peace, my friend,” one Facebook post read. “I regret not having expressed my gratitude for always visiting me in the hospital when I had cancer and for stopping by our house just because or when you were having a hard day. You had a unique ability to liven up any room, anywhere!”
