In the heart of Lake County, where dreams sprout from humble beginnings, Brady Singer’s journey from a small town to the grand stage of Major League Baseball is a testament to perseverance and talent.

Born in August of 1996, in Leesburg, Florida, Singer’s passion for baseball ignited early. His High School journey began on the dusty diamonds of Tavares High School, where he helped secure the Tavares Bulldogs first district championship in over 24 years back in 2012. People still talk about that team even today.

But Singer was destined for even greater heights. Transferring to Eustis High, he dazzled locals in the area and scouts alike with his pitching prowess, notching an impressive 8-3 record as a senior with an ERA of 1.25. Local high school players just could not get hits off of Brady and if they did, it was certainly something to celebrate. Brady’s talent caught the attention of the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2015 MLB Draft, but Singer opted for college instead. He would sign with the University of Florida.

At the University of Florida, Singer grew both mentally and physically. With the Gators, he became a force on the mound earning accolades like the SEC Player of the Year in 2018. Naturally as he approached the end of his college career, the stage was set for his leap into the big leagues.

Drafted by the Kansas City Royals in 2018, Singer spent most of his first years in the minor leagues. He honed his craft, refining his pitches and mental fortitude with each outing. Singer made his professional debut in 2019 with the Wilmington Blue Rocks. After going 5–2 with a 1.87 ERA over ten starts, he was promoted to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.[20] Singer was named to the 2019 All-Star Futures Game. Eventually Singer made his MLB debut on July 25, 2020. Singer pitched five innings in a no-decision contest. He was the first pitcher from the 2018 draft class to make it to the majors and second player overall after Nico Hoerner

Fast forward to today, and Singer’s name is on ESPN, Fox Sports, Fantasy baseball leagues and across the USA as one of the Kansas City Royals’ standout pitchers. With a 3-1 record through six games, boasting a stellar 2.36 ERA and a flurry of strikeouts that leave batters shaking their heads in disbelief, Singer has become a beacon of hope for Kansas City and young players in Lake County who look up to Singer as a role model.

In the world of fantasy baseball, Singer is a prized gem, ranking among the elite starting pitchers according to ESPN. His performances on the mound translate not only to wins for the Royals but also to points for fantasy owners across the globe, with an average of 14.6 fantasy points per game. Singer is ranked as the #15 pitcher in the MLB currently.

Yet amidst the glitz and glamour of the MLB, Singer remains grounded, a testament to his roots in Lake County. He embodies the values of hard work and perseverance, inspiring a generation of aspiring ballplayers who see in him the embodiment of their own dreams. He recently got married and welcomed his first child into the world Baby Beau with his wife Tori Singer last year. Singer also made headlines in 2018 for paying off his parents loan from a bank along with all of their debt.

As the Royals continue to be in a battle for first place in the AL Central just 2 games back of Cleveland, Singer stands tall as a symbol of pride for Lake County. His journey from a boy with a dream to play Major League Baseball to becoming on of MLB’s top pitchers is a story that resonates far beyond the confines of a baseball diamond, reminding us all that with dedication and determination, anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
