Eustis High School graduate Tyree Patterson who came out as one of the best wide outs in Lake County in many years has decided to enter the transfer portal and has committed to Middle Tennesee State University.

Tyree announced the move on his X social media page by saying “First and Foremost, I want to thank God for guiding me through every step of this journey. I am deeply grateful for my family, and everyone who has supported me along the way. A special thank you to my academic advisor, the UCF community, and all the incredible people I have been fortunate to meet during my two years here. I also want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play the sport I love and for giving me the strength to grow both on and off the field. I trust in His plan and have faith that this next chapter is part of the purpose he has laid out for me. With three years of eligibility remaining, I have decided to enter the transfer portal. I look forward to using my talents to work hard as I embrace the opportunities ahead. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey- I am excited for what’s to come.” says Tyree.

Tyree had committed to UCF all the way back in December of 2022. Tyree had a monster Junior year for Eustis High School during his junior year. He ended up with 53 receptions and 13 touchdowns averaging 20.3 yards per catch and also had 1,078 yards on the year. His senior year, he was on pace to beat those numbers but ended up shutting things down late in the season. During his two years with Eustis on Varsity he had 20 touchdowns and 1,692 total yards.

(The move to Middle Tennessee should be a big positive for Tyree. We should see him on the field a lot more in 2025.)

We wish Tyree the best of luck on this new chapter and look forward to what he will do in 2025.
