Eustis High School Softball Team Celebrates State Championship With Victory Parade
It was a terrific day in Eustis as the town celebrated the Eustis High School girls softball Class 4A State Championship team with a parade through the town center. Parents, siblings, alumni and members of the community came out to support.
The parade culminated with a ceremony at the Eustis Bandshell. The team was honored with a proclamation and given gifts. “I want everyone to be loud and show these ladies some love one last time. We are the #1 team in the state of Florida!” said Head Coach Brittany Beall.
Jensen Luke introduced the players and used nicknames which drew many laughs and smiles. Ciara Maple poked fun at Jensen saying “Jensen has the best nickname of all. We call her pip-squeak,” which also drew laughs from the crowd.
Eustis High Principal Clark thanked the community for the support. He especially wanted to thank former Eustis principal Bill Miller who was in attendance as well as Athletic Director Matthew Burgess and others who have had a big impact on the team through the years.
Parents, siblings, teammates, coaches and alumni got one final chance to cheer the team on and I think you could hear them from across Lake Eustis. There were cheers, some tears but a lot of laughter and good memories that were shared.
So one final time we celebrate the 2024 FHSAA Class 4A State Championship Eustis Lady Panthers! The seniors will be going on and playing in college. For the rest of the underclassman, they will begin working toward the 2025 State Championship as many of them will begin summer travel ball in the coming weeks.
Congratulations to this team! They will be remembered for a long time to come!
