Eustis High Softball Player Carson Roden Committs to Palm Beach Atlantic University

Eustis High School senior Carson Roden, one of Central Florida’s top high school pitchers, has committed to continue her softball career at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Carson, who was part of the Eustis Lady Panthers FHSAA state championship team in 2024 and helped Eustis get back to the FHSAA State Finals this season and finish state runner-up, is coming off another stellar season in the circle. She threw 142.2 innings and racked up 182 strikeouts with a 2.80 ERA and was a huge reason that Eustis High found their way back to the FHSAA State Finals for the second year in a row.
“I want to thank all of my coaches for helping me along the way,” Carson says. “A big thank you to Coach Beall, Coach Robert, and Coach Tyra for always being there for me and pushing me to be the best and making me the player I am today. Another big thank you to Coach Nick for guiding me and helping me achieve one of my biggest goals in life.”
Carson’s dominance has been a cornerstone of the Panthers’ success during her high school career. Her ability to control the game and stay cool and collected under pressure is the reason she is among the most sought-after pitchers in the region. Carson is also a great student at Eustis High with a 4.2 weighted GPA.

“To my teammates, thank you for always having my back and supporting me through it all, I wouldn’t be where I am today without you guy,” she says. “My pitching coaches throughout the years have shaped me into the pitcher I am today so I will be forever grateful for you all! Most importantly, my family, who have been there since day one. They are my biggest supporters in life and I wouldn’t have made it this far without all of them! I can’t wait to start the next chapter of my life! Go Sailfish.”

Having watched Carson the last two seasons, she is the type of player every coach wants on their team. She leads by example, competes every pitch, and makes everyone around her better. She is also a competitive weightlifter for Eustis High School during the winter sports season. As she approaches her senior year, Carson will no doubt once again be one of the top pitchers to keep an eye on in the spring.
Her commitment to NCAA Division II Palm Beach Atlantic gives the Sailfish a proven competitor with championship pedigree. The university, located in West Palm Beach, competes in the Sunshine State Conference.
Congratulations to Carson Roden. We wish her the best of luck in her senior season at Eustis High School and can’t wait to watch her take to the mound for the Sailfish in 2027!
