Mount Dora High @ Palatka High

The Hurricanes will be playing against Palatka to begin the 2023 season. New quarterback Jake Sepe has looked good in the preseason and there is reason to suspect he may be one of the best QBs in Lake County this year. With a full group of wide receivers retruning and an experienced defense the one question remains at Running Back. The loss of Dante Johnson-Turner who had one of the best seasons at running back for Mount Dora in a long time will be tough to fill. It could be a running back by committee approach this season. The Canes are also young up front so hopefully the young offensive line is ready for what some of these experienced defenses throw at them.
