Florida’s Chef Warren Caterson Brings Humor, Heart, and Healthy Cooking to Libraries and Festivals Across the State

Chef Warren Caterson
It’s impossible to think of Chef Warren Caterson doing anything but cooking, but he didn’t set out to be a celebrity chef.
Chef Warren spent many years working as a managing partner for a national fund-raising firm after his family moved to Florida from New York in 1972 when he was in high school.
He enjoyed his job, but he also loved cooking so he honed his skills at culinary school in the early 2000s.
After the recession hit in 2008, he donned his chef’s toque and got busy in the kitchen. Table for Two, his first cookbook, was published in 2009 and became one of the Top 100 cookbooks in America.
“That cookbook did so well, I started doing book signings, but I’d rather cook than sit at a bookstore, so I began doing cooking presentations,” Chef Warren says.
He does about 250 shows a year, sharing his culinary genius at food and wine festivals, home and garden events and libraries around Florida. He regularly holds free cooking presentations at Lake County library branches.
“I’m more of an entertainer who happens to be a great chef rather than a chef who tries to entertain. The cooking part of the show is only about 10 to 15 minutes; the rest of the program is tips, hints and lots of humor,” says Chef Warren, adding that attendees always sample the dish he prepares.
He’s become known for healthy, quick, delicious dishes using ingredients you can buy at a regular grocery store.
Chef Warren has three different Table for Two cookbooks out, with five more to be published. In addition to his popular cooking presentations, he offers private chef services and cooking classes.
Upcoming cooking shows:
November 6 – Leesburg Public Library
November 20 – Lady Lake Public Library
December 4 – Leesburg Public Library
