Former Lake Minneola Football Player Christian Campbell Commits To University of New Haven
Exciting news for fans of Lake Minneola Football this week as a former student has announced that he will be taking his talents to University of New Haven in 2024. Christian Campbell who is a 2019 graduate of Lake Minneola High School along with his brother Nick Campbell who plays for NC State were terrific defensive players for the Hawks.
Campbell was part of the class of 2019. He is a 6’1” 225lb Middle Linebacker. He was a terrific high school athlete. Campbell has been playing for Catawba College an NCAA Division II program in North Carolina for the past five seasons. He has been a force especially last season when he made 44 total tackles at Catawba College. Campbell recently announced on his twitter page that he has transfered and will now get the chance to play for University of New Haven in Connecticut. New Haven is an NCAA Division II program. They finished 8-3 in 2023.
Football runs deep in the Campbell household with Christian’s older brother Dante Campbell who played for West Virginia University and his younger brother Nick Campbell who is currently a red shirt sophomore at NC State.
Christian Campbell is a hard worker. The past few years he has really impressed us with what he has done at Catawba College. New Haven is coming off an 8-3 season which saw the Chargers make the NCAA Division II First round playoffs but lost in a close battle to Charleston West Virginia in the opening round 52-44.
Congratulations to Christian Campbell, his friends and family on his continued success! Keep pushing young man!
