Former MDCA Linebacker Jesiah Pierre Transfers To UCF
Exciting news as former MDCA Football star Jesiah Pierre has transferred to UCF for his senior year of football. Pierre had spent last season with Texas Tech. Pierre is coming off his best season of his college career in 2023. He was in on 66 tackles with 31 of them solo. Pierre now transfers to UCF to play for the Knights in what will be his senior season.
Pierre has not played full time in Florida since the 2020 season when he played for the Florida Gators. He then transferred to Texas Tech.
Pierre is no stranger to Florida and played his football with Mount Dora Christian Academy. He graduated in 2019 and has gone on to have an impressive career at the collegiate level.
Pierre brings with him a wealth of football knowledge and will be a player that the defense can lean on to make the right decisions. UCF did a great job in their first year in the BIG12. They made a bowl game which is a huge accomplishment for a school that made the transition from the American just a year ago.
Pierre will face similar competition as last year. Texas Tech is part of the BIG12 and while UCF is not going to be playing Texas Tech in 2024, they will be facing one of Pierre’s former Universities. UCF will play against The Florida Gators on October 5th of 2024. That should be a real fun contest.
For Pierre it will be refreshing to have him back playing in Central Florida. UCF is only about an hour from Mount Dora. We look forward to seeing what he can do his senior year.
