This July, our nation reaches an extraordinary milestone: 250 years of freedom, resilience and the entrepreneurial spirit that has helped shape America into the country we know today.

As we celebrate this historic anniversary, we also wanted to honor a different kind of legacy right here at home. Throughout this special issue, you’ll meet local businesses that have stood the test of time, serving our communities for 50, 75 and even more than 100 years. These businesses have weathered economic downturns, changing technologies and shifting consumer habits, yet continue to thrive because they understand that relationships matter.

Behind every long-standing business is a story of perseverance, sacrifice and commitment. These companies have helped build our communities, supported local families and earned the trust of generations. This month’s cover features someone whose impact on my life and on Style Magazine cannot be measured.

After nearly two decades as my business partner, Tim McRae is retiring.

Twenty years ago, our paths crossed and together we built something special. Through challenges, victories, long days and countless deadlines, Tim has remained one of the most steadfast people I have ever known. His work ethic is unmatched, his integrity unquestionable and his moral compass a guiding force for our company and team.

Tim is loyal, honest and deeply committed to every responsibility he takes on. He leads with humility, treats people with respect and approaches every challenge with grace. More importantly, he is the kind of friend everyone hopes to have and the kind of partner everyone wishes they could find.

While retirement marks the close of one chapter, his influence on Akers Media, Style Magazine and our team will continue for years to come. The foundation he helped build will remain part of our story.
