Coming soon to The Villages will be Central Florida’s largest indoor pickleball facility. The sport of pickleball has never been more popular. This new facility located at 11826 NE 62nd Terrace in Lady Lake began construction in November and is slated for competition in late 2024. The 40,000 square-foot facility will be amongst the largest indoor pickleball courts in Florida.

The Pickleball Club will feature 16 Championship-Grade, indoor courts, cafe, pro shop, locker rooms and lounge. The second-floor mezzanine will house a bar, lounge and provide a viewing area to the courts below. The second floor will also have offices, conference rooms and storage. Additionally, The Pickleball Club will include two outdoor pickleball courts and two bocce ball courts with canopy shades offering protection from the Florida elements.

(Crews with Stevens Construction autographed their names into cinder blocks that signified the halfway point to the construction process.)

Stevens Construction recently hosted Studio A.D. – Architect, the subcontractors, and The Pickleball Club for a lunch commemorating the construction of the 40,00 Square Foot, tw0-story fitness complex.

(There will be 16 pickleball courts when the project is finished. All in a climate controlled environment. There will also be two outdoor courts as well along with outdoor bocce courts.)

This is going to be a very welcomed thing to have in The Villages. People have been asking for indoor Pickleball courts for years. Playing outdoors is great but having a true professional facility to play pickleball indoors especially during the summer months will be terrific. The summer brings with it hot weather and thunderstorms. Having this facility will allow for residents to play the sport they love in a temperature controlled environment.

We can’t wait to see the finished product!
