Golden Ticket

A sweet crowd turned out for the grand opening of Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop in downtown Leesburg. Guests were greeted with over 300 varieties of soda, quirky knick-knacks, a $5 candy buffet and nearly every sweet treat imaginable — all wrapped in nostalgic charm from wall to wall. Leesburg Mayor Alan Reisman joined the festivities and applauded the store’s contribution to Main Street’s revitalization. Owner Chris Beers and local manager Joel Fritzinger kept details hush-hush before unveiling the vibrant space now open daily for families to explore, indulge and reminisce.
