New Vision for Independence Hosts Annual Axy Awards

New Vision for Independence presented its 2023 Axy Awards at the nonprofit’s annual celebratory luncheon held December 4 at the Tavares Civic Center. Awards go to the most blind-friendly local businesses that go above and beyond to ensure clients are treated with respect and dignity (“Axy” is short for accessible). The winners are: Hurricane Dockside in Tavares, Kroger Delivery, Planet Fitness, Walgreens, AMC Lake Square 12, Belk at Lake Square Mall, Mid Florida Eye Center, Advent Health Waterman, Seacoast Bank and Fantastic Sam’s.
