DADDY DEAREST
A recent PEW Research Center study shows that 18% of all households have a stay-at-home dad who works as the main caregiver of the children and also manages the daily chores. The No. 1 factor for this trend has to do with changes in economic conditions for families. According to the study in 2022, women make up 35% of the top 10 highest-paying professions. The second reason is that social dynamics and stigmas have changed. In this modern world, many men want to play a larger role in the upbringing of their offspring and are more than happy to embrace this lifestyle.

BEER HERE
Florida’s liquor laws can be confusing. Some regulations are statewide, but counties and smaller municipalities can also enact ordinances regulating alcohol. So if you work nights in Clermont, live in Sumterville and want to buy a six-pack on your way home, check your watch. Lake County sells beer and wine until 2am, but you can only buy in Sumter County until midnight. Spirits must be purchased in a state-approved liquor store. Forms of acceptable I.D. are:
- State-issued I.D.
- Military I.D.
- U. S. passport
