Justin Godwin – Roam Electric

Meet Justin Godwin, the visionary force behind Roam Electric, a name synonymous with electrical excellence in Ocala.  Born into a lineage of electricians, Justin’s journey was seemingly predetermined. Growing up, he worked for a large electrical contracting company his dad co-founded. 

Despite initial hesitations, Justin’s trajectory solidified with guidance from a friend: “Do what you’re good at until you can afford to do what you want.” Overcoming personal obstacles, including a courageous battle with testicular cancer, Justin embraced his destiny, obtaining his license in 2016 and founding his own company in 2018, though coming up with a business name and logo is a whole other story. 

Justin says one day after throwing on a shirt adorned with a buffalo and the word ‘roam’ on it, he thought, “That’s me.”

“The buffalo is an iconic American symbol to me and the definition of ‘roam’ is to go from place to place with a purpose. Being service driven and getting out there was my main goal, so it was fitting,” Justin adds. 

Today, the services Roam Electric offers range from navigating insurance assessments and installing receptacle switches and dimmers to engineering lighting layouts for equestrian facilities, arenas and anything electrical in between. 

“I am committed to being there for customers, providing whatever services they need directly and with a personal touch,” he says.

I have read the Bible, cover to cover, twice. I continue to read scripture daily. Although I’m not perfect, I’m redeemed through my savior, Jesus Christ, and I give all glory to God.
