“Kevco has always been about relationships and taking care of people. My time in the military and fire service reinforced the importance of serving others, and that commitment has played a big part in our success,” says President Ian Kaneshige. 

Ian served on active duty in the U.S. Navy from 1998 to 2007. Originally from Bayonne, New Jersey, in 2014 Ian moved to Central Florida with his wife and three daughters. 

He has been a Licensed REALTOR® since 2008 in New York, New Jersey, California, and Florida. Since 2012, Ian has specialized in building and selling custom homes. He works closely with Kevco clients and the construction team to ensure a smooth, seamless custom home experience.

It’s not just about building outstanding homes. Making a difference in the community means giving back and helping others.

His military background inspired Ian and Kevco Builders to step up and work with Habitat for Humanity’s ProBuild–an industry-led effort that supports affordable homeownership for a local veteran family.

“Habitat is building a house for a veteran now and we are very involved in this ProBuild project,” says Ian. “Kevco is sponsoring multiple aspects of this project, including lighting and appliances.”

Jingle Build-Off is another Habitat for Humanity project that Kevco proudly participates in every year. 

Local families in Lake and Sumter counties are selected to receive the special gift of a custom-built playhouse.  Kevco Builders helps sponsor Jingle Build-Off and has construction staff on hand to support this team-building competition that benefits local families.

In addition to partnering with Habitat for Humanity on these important projects, Kevco Builders gives back by supporting Lake County Schools and other local organizations through volunteerism, partnerships, and other community initiatives.
