Lake County Sheriff’s Office School Resouce Unit Wins Agency Of The Year
Last week, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Unit received a prestigious honor, being named Agency of the Year at the 2024 Florida Association of School Resource Officers (FASRO) Conference. This accolade recognizes the Unit’s exceptional dedication and hard work in ensuring the safety and security of Lake County schools.
In addition to the unit’s achievement, two standout deputies, Scott Kirkland and Jason Williams, were honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards for their unwavering commitment and distinguished service in protecting and mentoring students throughout their careers.
“We are incredibly proud of the entire SRD Unit and all the hard work they put in to help protect Lake County schools,” said a representative from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. “These awards are a testament to their dedication, professionalism, and the positive impact they have on our community,” Lake County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement on their facebook page.
Congratulations to the LCSO School Resource Unit, Deputy Scott Kirkland, and Deputy Jason Williams on these well-deserved honors. Thank you once more to our Lake County law enforcement officers for keeping us safe.
