Lake Minneola Junior Camila Antonsanti-Soto Commits to Arkansas State Volleyball

Lake Minneola High School junior volleyball standout Camila Antonsanti-Soto announced her commitment to Arkansas State University.
Her commitment comes as no surprise as Camila is one of Central Florida’s top rising high school volleyball players. She began playing the sport at age 8 in Puerto Rico. Her talent became evident early, helping her Puerto Rican 10U team win an AAU National Championship in 2019.

Recognizing the opportunities available in the United States, her parents, who are both former professional basketball players in Puerto Rico, Eric Antonsanti and Soelimir Soto, relocated the family to Clermont in 2021.
“My parents saw the potential in me and my brother Fabian early on,” Camila says. “They knew if we were going to chase our dreams, we needed to be where the opportunities were.”

The transition quickly paid dividends. After arriving in Florida, Camila helped East Ridge Middle School capture back-to-back district championships while also competing on the club circuit, where her team qualified for the USAV Girls Junior Nationals 13U Open Division.
Camila helped Lake Minneola High win an FHSAA District Championship in 2024. This past season, she played a major role in leading Lake Minneola to a 19-8 record and a berth in the FHSAA Regional Quarterfinal Playoff round. The 6-foot outside hitter led the Hawks with 175 kills while also contributing 35 aces, 201 digs and 156 assists.

“Winning the district title was my favorite memory so far,” she says. “It showed me how far we’ve come as a team and how far I’ve come since that first serve in Puerto Rico.”
Camila of course credits much of her development to the guidance she received from her parents and coaches.

“My parents have always emphasized fundamentals, hard work, and never being afraid to make mistakes,” she says. “Mistakes don’t define you. You learn, you grow and you get better.”
Her accomplishments also extend beyond the court. At Lake Minneola High School, Camila carries a 4.6 GPA and plans to study architectural engineering in college while continuing her volleyball career at Arkansas State University.
“I love Clermont. I love my team. And I’m so grateful to my parents for believing in me enough to come to Florida so we can live out our dreams,” she says. “I just want to make the most of every opportunity.”
