Wow what a game we had last night between two programs who are showing why they will be contenders this year for district championships and potential playoff runs! Anytime you get two cross town rivals going up against one another it’s always a fun contest!

Leesburg was coming off a four point loss against Eustis a few weeks ago, Leesburg came out fired up and wanted to win this one.

Eustis basketball had some great moments, Anthony Hines, Jayveon Dale and Timothy Key did the best they could but on this night it was Leesburg that would even the score and move the series to 1-1 this year.

Head coach of the Yellow Jackets Sean Campbell is pulling double duty this year coaching both the girls and boys varsity basketball programs. The exhausting work is paying off with both boys and girls programs doing well this year.

This team is impressing us this year. Leesburg put on a great display and now moves to 9-2 overall. Eustis has looked impressive all season. They are now 12-3 and play Leesburg one more time this season in a rubber match on January 26th.
