Leesburg High School Freshman Lamar Garrison One Of Top Wide Receivers In The Country
Leesburg High School has one of the top wide receivers in the country, and his name is Lamar Garrison. Get used to hearing that name because he is set for an explosive freshman year. Garrison has not even taken one step on the field yet as a varsity football player at the high school level, but he already has multiple NCAA Division 1 offers rolling in.
(Lamar Garrison already has multiple NCAA Division 1 Scholarship Offers. He hasn’t even played a down of high school football and comes into his freshman year as one of the most sought after wide receivers in the country.)
With offers from Marshall, Valdosta State, Cincinnati, UTSA, and UNLV, Garrison will be one of the most sought-after wide receivers in the country in the coming years. Not only is Garrison a great athlete, but he’s also a good student with a 3.5 GPA.
“This kid has it all. He’s had a huge summer, and I am so pumped up to have him play for us during the 2024 season. He’s a natural athlete, super dynamic and athletic. He’s incredible and only a freshman.” says Coach Max Tucker. Garrison caught 14 touchdowns in 7 total games earlier this summer in a 7v7 tournament. That completely opened eyes and instantly got him notoriety. The offers came in quickly and won’t slow down anytime soon.

“During camp this summer, all coaches needed to do was see him in action and instantly they knew this kid had something special. He will be a 4 star recruit at some point. He’s just a freak athlete. I’ve never seen a young kid like him so polished that young,” says coach Tucker.
Garrison will have one of the best quarterbacks in Lake County throwing to him in 2024. Xavier Irrizary is also a Division 1 prospect. Leesburg High is the perfect landing spot for him during his senior year. He not only gets to throw to one of the top wide receivers in the country but will have very good group of running backs with Muscles Patterson, Wide Receiver Ja’marian Clark, Kavion Murray and James Benton are also expected to contribute heavily in the passing game. Expect big things in 2024 for this group.
One thing I love about Lamar Garrison is his natural ability to play the wide receiver position. He already looks like a junior or senior out on the field, but he’s going to be a freshman. His speed and agility make him a prime NCAA Division 1 candidate. For college scouts, this player is a must-see in person. The videos on him do him justice, but to actually see him in action is incredible. They don’t make players like this often. The fact that we have a wide receiver like Lamar Garrison in Lake County is a thrill, and we can’t wait to watch him.
The season is coming up in a few weeks. Leesburg High kicks things off in Miami and then host their first home game on August 23rd against University at 7 PM.
Kyle Coppola was born in Newton, Massachusetts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from Curry College in 2016. After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.
For the last decade Kyle has gained valuable experience in social media content creation, marketing and sales, writing, video production, sports announcing and even broadcasting for local radio stations, such as FM 102.9 in The Villages and FM 91.5 in Massachusetts. Every year he volunteers at The Villages Charter High School as a play-by-play sports announcer for the football games as well as a public address announcer for the basketball games, including the annual Battle at The Villages Tournament.
Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
