Luna Azul Authentic Mexican Restaurant, a family-owned restaurant located in the Southside Shopping Center at 1341 South 14th St., Leesburg, is marking two years of serving the community with a fiesta-style anniversary party on Saturday, June 7 — and the whole town is invited.

To celebrate the milestone, the Hernandez family is pulling out all the stops: a Mariachi band, DJ and a mechanical bull will bring the energy, while 50% off all lunch and dinner entrees will keep guests satisfied from 11 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. The event is dine-in only, and the discount excludes appetizers and alcoholic beverages.

“We’re going all in for this,” Alexander Hernandez says. “This is my family’s business. We’ve been here in this location since 2016, and when we went private with Luna Azul, we wanted to keep serving the people who became like family to us.”

Luna Azul quickly built a reputation for authentic Mexican flavors, festive atmosphere and community involvement. The restaurant has received numerous recognitions from both the Leesburg Chamber of Commerce and Lake County for its food, beverages, service and community support.

“We wouldn’t be here without the love and support of this community,” Alexander says. “It’s incredible to have people come in who’ve known us for years — we know their kids, they’ve become friends and family.”

As part of the celebration, happy hour margaritas will be served all day, and guests are encouraged to come early, stay late, and enjoy the full Luna Azul experience.

“Luna Azul is more than just a restaurant, it’s an experience,” customer Zorayda Gallardo wrote in a review. “The food is always delicious, the aguas frescas are refreshing, and the atmosphere is full of good vibes. What truly makes this place special are the owners… they make every guest feel like family.”

If you haven’t had the chance to experience the flavors of Luna Azul, this Saturday is the perfect time to join the celebration.
